We are in (here in the west) what Gramci termed “the time of monsters”. Hope seems hard to find and the collective mood seems to be deteriorating by the day. The good news (relative to swings arms wildly everything) is that we have the antidote, we just have to be willing to understand it and utilize it. The first step (IMO) is to understand that there are people who have been fighting back against this US version of fascism since it was still just in its colonial form. This Occupation was birthed in slavery and genocide and from that point forward they have just continued both practices in various forms.

George Jackson wrote about this better than I could ever hope to in his brilliant and to my mind mandatory read Blood in my Eye. So instead of just butchering his work I will put one of my favorite passages that speaks to my point right here…

Now that y’all have a taste hopefully you will go read it, and as a companion piece I would recommend Tip of the Spear by Orisanmi Burton. He does a brilliant job of connecting the prison industrial complex to capitals attempts to control the Middle East through their proxy IsntRael and how our Prisons are the most fascist places on this planet currently.

If you spend any time on the internet you have seen the meme comparing this Occupations march across Turtle Island to Isntraels occupational march through Palestine. It should be a wake up call to anyone still confused by lifetimes of propaganda downloaded into our brains from birth by the best to ever do it.

a series of maps showing land loss by indigenous to colonizers.

Also not to put to fine a point on it, but the Third Riegh wanted what the US Occupation had in terms of control of its population. It was their dream actually, and reservations were the blue print for concentration camps as we understand them today. See capitalists need control, and they’d prefer that the majority play along cause they prefer their comfort over a peoples liberation, but it isn’t (as we are now seeing) necessary. The forces of Capital will take what they want, and what they want is everything.

So what do we do, you ask. Well we follow the lead of the oppressed throughout history. the most committed and the most successful peoples revolutions have all been led by a Marxist Leninist Vanguard parties (we do NOT currently have one of those here in the states) so building that should be a priority, now there are smaller groups of committed Marxist Leninists out there and my hope is that they will begin to find each other and build together (off the internet is my dream). While liberals continue to flail around in front of the cameras. Now I’m not saying don’t protest, but I will say Stonewall was a riot and let the real ones figure that out for themselves. The key to all this of course is education and organization. Knowing who your enemy is and having Comrades you trust with your life are the keys (IMO).

Using tools (like the internet) for informing people is good and should be done. Using it to organize on a mass scale is (to my mind) is counterrevolutionary. The people were never in history moved by words, but unified in actions. This is what made the Black Panthers so successful and dangerous to Capital and why they methodically destroyed them throughout the decades. A final word of gratitude to one of the finest Marxist Leninists this world has ever been blessed with Micheal Parenti you will be forever missed and eternally loved and your impact is yet to be fully realized it, and its a shame you won’t be around when we realize yours and our collective dream of Feeding the children through revolution.
