The Intellectual World War: Socialism or Barbarism
This started off as just a review of the excellent book by Gabriel Rockhill, titled The Intellectual World War (see) Who Paid The Pipers Of Western Marxism? that feels very much as a spritual sequal to Domenico Losurdo’s Western Marxism: How It Was born, How it Died, How it Can Be Reborn. Both available from Monthly Review press, and come with the highest possible recommends from yours truly (for whatever thats worth, but you are here so…).
As it blossomed in my mind it became about more than the book, and how important it is to understand that “ideas” arent born in a vacuum. We here in the west have been subjugated from birth to the most intense multilevel indoctrination programs humanity has ever witnessed. Now of course the controls of which are in the hands of people most believe are unequipped to properly handle them, which has “lifted the curtain” on so much that it can, and is (at times), too much for all of us to handle at once. Part of their “new” strategy (they being the parasites in control of global capital) is to overwhelm us into complacency, show us all of their crimes, while committing continuous ones, while pointing the fingers at each other.
So far it has worked. The idea of revolution should be on the tip of every tounge, the edge of every conversation, the specter that haunts them all… but its not. Instead we have “No kings” demonstrations, people dressing up in inflatable costumes, doing yoga outside of detentions centers, people talking about mid term voting (WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK PEOPLE) seemingly everything BUT the thing. This takes me back to the idea of… Ideas. These can only be acceptable or thought of as progressive in a landscape of thought so demoralized by and completely whipped by Imperial thought.
We have always known, in Marxist Leninist circles at least, that revolution is literally the only solution. Thats it. Socialism or Barbarism (he did it he said the thing in the thing). This is why the Imperial culture machine has worked so hard to convince you there is a Third way out, because they stay in power no mater what. Its really that simple, the Parasites who leach off of the rest of us our blood, sweat, labor, and lifeblood, so they can park their yachts inside their other yachts, and as the Epstien Files have shown us EAT FUCKING BABIES, and yet even armed with that knowledge we still allow them power.
Its a madness, a collective psychosis, one that has been honed through the centuries and made almost unstoppable by our inability to stay mad. Whether its a new show, a new song, our favorite band on tour, a pageant, or some sports spectacular, they (again the parasites in control of capital) keep us away from thoughts of revolution or the realities of post revolutionary societies that currently exist (China, Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam, etc…), by simply overwhelming us with content based on what we already know and is comfortable to us. Liberation should be the focus of all we do, and not just our peoples liberation but our animal cousins liberation as well.
The truth is that AES (Actually Existing Socialism) has won, the future. They have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that a communist party led dictatorship of the proletariat built off of the conditions specific to each area, leads to an increase in life expectation, a “cure” for homelessness, hunger, malnutrition, and lack of education for its people, and as Global Capital has grown weaker ( i know, but it has i promise), and these Dictatorships have grown stronger we see the power of Socialism, while here in the West our collective inaction has shown us nothing but continued barbarism. Our duty here in the west is to help the socialist powers, help us, and there’s only one way we can do that (and its not the inflatable costumes, again sorry).
So, what can you do, I’m sure you’re asking, well I have some suggestions, but thats really all I can offer, it’s up to you to find your people to fight along side. Also read. Join/start an revolutonary book club. All of our greatest Communist parties were born from book clubs (literally). Understand that the point of that poem about them coming for groups of people is that we shouldn't let them come for anyone, not who was first on the list to be taken. Make sure you are taking whatever meds you need and staying hydrated (I’m fucking serious! Drink Water!) we are all we've ever had… and thats always been more than enough.
