I’m Glad They’re Dead and you should be as well.

So the internet is on fire right now with news of Lindsey Graham’s death, and if you are a person with even a shred of empathy running through your bones this news makes you smile. “Ryan, *hands on hips* you can’t be happy at someones death, think about their family, think about how you would want people to react to your death.” I am, and I do, I’m also thinking about their victims, and no one on this planet has a higher body count than USofKKK politicians. This is just simple fact. Between their love of oil and gas, their war mongering, their domestic policing agendas, and so on… they put policies into place that murder thousands EVERY SINGLE DAY. I personally am tired of acting like they don’t and have been extremely happy to see more and more of the internet agree with this.

“Pessimism of the mind, optimism of the will” is a quote by the late Marxist Leninist Antonio Gramci which to me really sums up these moments as a collective catharsis for people who have spent their lives pushing back against Cultural Hegemony in all of its varying forms. We rarely in this moment get to see the true perpetrators of the worlds worst atrocities held accountable for… well anything really. The starkest contradiction here is the amount of people in the Epstein Files (1) arrested (And if they have their way she will be out any day now), vs. the amount of people arrested for illegally distributing food (feeding people) hundreds every year in the US alone.

We live in a society run by and for the people who have spent their lives sharpening their worst instincts to defend and grow their power and wealth under this Dictatorship of Capital, so when they finally face even a smidge of consequence we (the masses still burdened with empathy) celebrate in kind. We are a collective powderkeg ready to explode but trained from birth by this society to blame each other for the systemic injustices we see and suffer every single day. We have so many people begging for scraps for their side quest, while the system steamrolls millions of people with it’s indifference to human suffering and loss.

We have to use these moments to help each other understand that there is a way out of this, we have been shown so many times, but because these efforts have all happened under the umbrella of global capital, they have been undermined and straight up massacred at every turn. The Chinese have become the second nation (USSR the first) to challenge global capital’s hegemonic control of the globe. In the time since the USSR’s betrayal and illegal dissolving, we have seen under the banner of neoliberalism the largest collective scaling back of human and workers rights ever. The CPC was able to stay in control of the Chinese nation and have begun to show the true power of central planning, and communist leadership using Marxist Leninist thought. Their goal of becoming a Modern Socialist Nation in all respects looks to be on target as the one thing they exceed at is underselling and overdelivering.

Are there contradictions in the Chinese model, yes, they have had to make sacrifices to keep the Dictatorship of the Proletariat in control, but in control they have stayed, and under Marxism Leninism they have lead. I have argued for years now that we should be celebrating their successes as people in the West who care about things like feeding people, housing them, educating them and making sure they are healthy and capable of living their best most complete lives. I get quite a bit of pushback on this and that is because of the overwhelming propaganda we have been subjected to from birth, and continue to be every single day. The arrogance/ignorance matrix is real and lives and breaths throughout western capitalist culture. We all fall victim to it from time to time, but that is shifting I see it all the time, and that has triggered the bourgeois move to straight up fascism. Now in the 20’s and 30’s they were able to see the need to placate a certain collective here in the west (White working class) but this time they are so blind by personal hubris that they believe firmly that they deserve everything and fuck anyone who gets in their way. As such it falls on all of us to realize that where the labor and social movements of the 30’s failed we must succeed and the only way to do that is with the working and oppressed of this nation to kick the shit out of the bourgeoisie once and for all.

So have fun making fun of the worst people ever, its more than ok, it is praxis. It will help others to find their voice at the displeasure in this system. Drink water, read revolutionary literature, form book clubs with like minds, build community. We have a world to win, and we can. As soon as we understand who our enemies are, and who our global comrades are, we can act.
